Residencies and Special Projects Supported by Art + Being

A Human Story

Every project we launch begins with a human story—a lived experience, a shared memory, or an unspoken urge to connect across cultures and boundaries. On this page, we invite you behind the scenes of our creative work. Beyond the technical skill, timelines, and production details, our projects exist to honor authentic human voices, foster deep empathy, and spark meaningful dialogue.

Here, art is not just created; it is lived, shared, and transformed through the people who pour their hearts into it.

Ureuëng Project

A Residency & Film Project by Nisa R.A.

An embodied exploration of presence, heritage, and identity—captured through the lens of art and film.

Artist in Residence: Dipali Gupta

Dipali Gupta is an interdisciplinary visual artist whose practice explores the intricate intersections of sensuality, vulnerability, taboos, and the human form. Through sculpture, installation, and performance, Gupta creates immersive environments that invite audiences to engage with tactile materials and reflect on raw emotional experiences. During her residency, she is expanding her practice to engage directly with local community narratives, transforming personal intimacy and bodily expressions into universal visual dialogues.

Artist in Residence: Nisa R.A

We were honored to open our doors to the incredible Nisa R.A—a scholar, multimedia artist, and fierce advocate for women’s rights. Rooted in her heritage from Aceh, Indonesia, Nisa’s work delves deep into identity, history, and empowerment.
