Maslihar

Maslihar (b. Yogyakarta, Indonesia) is a contemporary painter whose work bridges decorative and abstract figurative expression. A graduate of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, he is known for his use of vibrant colours, dynamic compositions, and the joyful spirit that animates his canvases.

To Maslihar, painting is more than a visual act — it is a form of prayer, a channel for positive energy, and a means to cultivate happiness. His art radiates a quiet optimism, transforming everyday moments into celebrations of colour and form. Over the past two decades, Maslihar has exhibited extensively across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, including solo presentations at Kiniko Art, Indie Art Yogyakarta, Tembi Rumah Budaya, Sangkring Art Projects, and Gallery Pojok Ngasem. His participation in the Yogya Annual Art series and other group exhibitions attests to his enduring presence in the Yogyakarta art scene.
