A HUMAN STORY

What does it mean to be human?

We are living in unprecedented times.

Artificial intelligence is taking the front seat.
And our own minds? Increasingly, the back seat.

We can move faster, know more, do more.

But at what cost?

We are more connected than ever, yet increasingly disconnected from one another and from our authentic selves.

In a world constantly competing for our attention, we rarely pause to ask: Who am I?

Our stories, our beliefs, even our desires are shaped by the narratives around us.

But whose stories are we living? And who is telling them?

We live in a world of extraordinary progress, yet profound imbalance.

We have privileged doing over being, competition over cooperation, power over care.

Yet life is not one or the other.

Just as yin cannot exist without yang, perhaps becoming whole means rediscovering the balance between opposites — within ourselves and in the world around us.

So what does it mean to be human?

Is it our imagination, our intuition, our capacity to create?

Our courage to love, to feel, to lose, to begin again?

Is it knowing that our time here is finite — and choosing to embrace life anyway?

We are embodied, vulnerable, contradictory and unfinished.

We are part of creation. And creativity belongs to all of us.

Perhaps it is time to reclaim our attention, our creativity, our humanity.

At Art + Being, we are opening our doors to artists to share their stories, their perspectives, their ways of seeing the world.

Each story adds another thread to our shared human tapestry. Some connect, some contradict, some reveal what others may have missed.

Together, they form A HUMAN STORY — never complete, forever changing, evolving and becoming.

Through exhibitions, film, conversations, workshops and shared experiences, A HUMAN STORY will unfold over the coming months as an exploration of what connects us, what divides us, and what makes us human.

What is true for one person may be an entirely different story for another.

There are no definitive answers.

Only stories to share, questions to explore, and our humanity to celebrate.
